This is the building I live in, my apartment in the first window above the car. My work is only about a 5-10 minute walk away.
I pass this shop on my way to work called 'Herb Story'. I hope that the day I go in, they sit me down and tell me stories about herbs..
Can't think of a good advertising campaign? Go with half naked women! (Advertisement for soju.)
One of the streets right next to my work. On the right you can see 'Denver' which is a nice little American bar we sometimes go to.
The main square in Maetan-dong. There arn't a huge amount of foreign workers here, compared to somewhere like Yeong-tong. The Dunkin Donuts on the left is our meeting place.
This is the building I work in. Kim and Lee Language Centre is on the 7th floor (the blue). The top floor, 8th, is another school where Tara and Peter work. I think Stephanie and Adam work in a school on the 5th floor.
A street in Ingyedong. It's about a 25minute walk from Maetan, and a very short taxi journey. It's where Homeplus is, lots of shops, and some good going out areas. There's also CGV cinema.
Cinepark! It's on the top floor and pretty huge.
This is the Galleria. I've only been once but there are some lovely clothes, and all pretty expensive. There's also a Zara there, so, when I get paid...
And this is how much snow there was on Snow Day.
That concludes that. I'm afraid those pictures wern't actually very interesting. If there's anything you'd like to see, let me know!

Love the pictures, you should post more!
ReplyDeleteawesome. would like to see more photos of you + things :)
ReplyDeleteActually, I thought they were interesting. You've given us a quick snapshot of modern S.Korea. How about some pics of the old and traditional parts next time?
ReplyDeleteThere arn't really any old or traditional parts in my area of Suwon! Maybe I'll find some when I venture more, but I think it's generally a pretty modern city, aside from the Hwaseong Fortress.
ReplyDeleteHelen, if you go on Facebook there's some pictures of me+ things in my Hwaseong Fortress album!
ReplyDeleteGood luck in Korea!
